"The Word: What Is God Saying Through Jesus Ministry"

Unfortunately, all many people know about Jesus is that He was God's Son, He lived a perfect life, He died on the cross, and He rose again. While that is the foundation for salvation there was so much more in Jesus ministry that we need to know; otherwise, that is all Jesus would have done. The book of John starts "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." This means that Jesus if God and He is the living embodiment of God speaking. His actions (ALL of His actions) here on earth were done for a reason and were to tell us the vital things that God would have us to know about Him like why did the Spirit descend upon Christ at Baptism? (It was more than to just symbolize the Holy Spirit). Or what was the significance of Jesus turning the water to wine at the feast? These things all had meaning and were done for a reason. As we go through the book of John we will look into these deeper truths about Jesus the Christ and develop a better understanding of who He was and is!
